Woods Fire - Mundys Lane

It's drier than you think.

We assisted today with a large fire on the East side of the County. Every department in Nelson County was there. Tanker 62 responded from our Nellysford station. Also at the incident were departments from Appomattox, Amherst, and Campbell County.

The heavy lift was provided by the Virginia Department of Forestry……. three dozers. They have the coolest toys!

We have not heard a cause, or total acres involved. Watch local media for that information.
