MCI - Interstate 64, MM 99

Wintergreen Rescue Squad was dispatched for an MVC on Interstate 64, MM 99 for a tractor-trailer vs commercial bus with possibility of 50 plus patients. When the Wintergreen unit arrived on scene there were several other Augusta, Albemarle, and Nelson units already on scene of a multi-vehicle crash in the eastbound lane of Interstate 64 at the top of Afton Mountain. Virginia State Police reported that several patients were transported to Augusta Health and UVA and fortunately there were no fatalities.
