Wintergreen Police Accreditation

Wintergreen Fire & Rescue congratulates our colleagues and friends at the Wintergreen Police Department on their recent reaccreditation. Many city, county, and town police departments are not yet accredited.

Wintergreen Police Department remains the only private force in the Commonwealth of Virginia to be credited. The entire community is very proud of their hard work. In the early days of Wintergreen there was only a security guard at the gate to ask a few questions of visitors and provide directions.

Today our force uses state of the art equipment and remains trained and ready to react to scenarios ranging from simple traffic accidents to active shooters. Wintergreen Fire & Rescue, and certainly all residents of Wintergreen, are very fortunate to have these professional men and women watching our backs.
