House Fire in Nellysford
Sept 14, 2015 - Wintergreen Fire & Rescue, Rockfish Volunteer Fire Department and Piney River Volunteer Fire Dept were dispatched to a “fully engulfed” house fire.
Upon arrival, the front porch and part of the kitchen were in flames. With aid of the new CAF system on Tanker 2, the fire was put out in just minutes. The house was not occupied at the time of the fire. Tanker 2, Engine 1, Chief 2, Response 173, Rockfish Trauma 56, Rockfish’s Tanker, and a Piney River unit responded to the call.
